PV Curves: Detailed Analysis Process

 

The following provides a thorough description of how the PV analysis process works and ultimately how critical scenarios are determined.

• Consolidate system if using Integrated Topology Processing
• Solve power flow
• If power flow does not solve STOP the analysis
• Store InitialState
• This is the base case state that exists at the start of the PV analysis. This is the state that can be restored when using the Restore initial state option found on the PV Results page.
• Set system to solve using Island-Based AGC with the Sink as the injection group
• Solve power flow
• If power flow does not solve STOP the analysis
• Set minimum per unit voltage for constant power and constant current loads to 0 pu
• Solve power flow
• If power flow does not solve STOP the analysis
