Features and Improvements

  • Transient Stability: Added special processing when writing out a DYR file so that any LHVRT or LHFRT models are written out as groups of VTGTPAT and FRQTPAT models.
  • Transient Stability: Added the ability to read and write the ESST10C model from a DYD file. This translates to an ST10C model.
  • Transient Stability: Cosmetic changes inside the PowerWorld user interface to make it clear how REPC_B, REPC_D, LHFRT, and LHVRT models are translated into groupings of other model types when written out to a DYR file.
  • Transient Stability: Added extra sets of default input parameters for the LHVRT model. The primary default remains all zeros indicating no tripping is done so the user must populate with generator specific tripping parameters. Two new sets have been added as follows
    1. MAY trip region for IEEE 2800 Table 11 with Aux Load Limitations
    2. MAY trip region for IEEE 2800 Table 12 without Aux Load Limitations
It should be noted that these IEEE 2800 standard tables represent Voltage/Time settings at which an inverter-based resource MAY trip, however the IEEE 2800 standards does not say that the generator MUST trip. By adding an LHVRT model with these input parameters then you will be creating a generator that will always trip in these Voltage/Time regions. Please confirm these are appropriate settings for your generator.
  • Bug Fixes

    • PV and QV Curve (PVQV) Tool: When deleting the objects that are monitored with tracked quantities for PV or QV analysis, an access violation could result. This has been fixed.
    • PV and QV Curve (PVQV) Tool: For critical PV scenarios the buses with the maximum MW and Mvar mismatches are reported. Prevent access violations if these buses are deleted.
